Nitrogen Metabolism

General Objectives

To increase the knowleadge on denitrification process by Rhizobium under free-living and symbiotic conditions. This group is also involved in the study of quorum-sensing in plant-microorganism interaction. Another aspect of the plant-microorganism interaction that the group is also studying is the identification of Rhizobial mechanisms involved in the resistance of the Rhizobium-legume symbiosis to abiotic stresses.
